Texas Graphic Design Firm, Gateway Design, Redesigned Logo for ACE Theatrical

Company Specializes in Restoration and Operation
of Theaters and Movie Palaces

Houston, Texas (Marketwire) – February 1, 2010 –With a diverse clientele, Texas graphic design firm, Gateway Design, Inc. rises to the challenge of creating logos to enhance a company’s business identity.  The company, under the leadership of Connie Senter, has a proven process that includes consultation, layout, font and color options as well as complete support materials development.

Located in Houston, Texas, Gateway Design, has been a leader in the creation of logos and production of brochures, sales and marketing materials, direct mail, promotional and advertising campaigns.  Senter and her team recently designed a new logo and marketing materials for ACE Theatrical.

ACE Theatrical is a Houston based company with satellite offices in New York City, New Orleans and San Antonio. Its core business is the restoration and operation of historic movie palaces and theaters.  Current projects include the restoration and renovation of the Saenger Theatre in New Orleans, Louisiana, and the redevelopment of the Loew’s Kings Theatre in Brooklyn, New York.

The Saenger Theatre is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and has been a New Orleans landmark since its opening in 1927, when it was built for $2.5 million. Located on upper Canal Street adjacent to the French Quarter, it was the most renowned movie theater in the city until its conversion in 1980 to a performing arts center.  Like many other New Orleans landmarks, the Saenger Theatre suffered major damage when Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans in 2005, and has remained close ever since. ACE, in cooperation with the Canal Street Development Corporation, spearheaded a public/private partnership that is currently in the design phase of a $40 Million project to return the Saenger Theatre to its original grandeur.  ACE is scheduled to commence construction this spring, with a targeted opening in October of 2011.

ACE has also recently executed an agreement with the City of New York to undertake a $75 Million redevelopment of the historic Loew’s Kings Theatre on Flatbush Avenue in Brooklyn. This architectural masterpiece of renowned theatre designer, Thomas Lamb, has been shuttered for almost thirty years, but current City leadership has made it a priority to bring the Kings back to life. Working closely with New York’s Economic Development Corporation, ACE has engineered another public/private partnership which has just been tasked with making this long-held Brooklyn dream a reality.

ACE Theatrical president David Anderson selected Gateway Design to update his logo and produce business cards, letterhead and envelopes which will be essential to communicating the vision, goals and strategies of ACE in the years to come.

“Gateway Design did a very good job designing and producing our new logo and stationery,” said Anderson. “We restore theaters and wanted a logo that reflected the unique flavor of our business. The team at Gateway Design understood our goals and completed our project in a very timely manner.”
